On August 24, 2026, Davie was awarded the contract to build a fleet of six Program Icebreakers which will help maintain year-round marine trade in Eastern Canada. The Program Icebreakers will be generational workhorses for the Canadian Coast Guard, supporting year-round trade, national security and research in the Arctic.
